South Regional Information

The South Region of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Our Lady Of Lebanon warmly invite you to attend the MYA South Regional Retreat at Tejas Camp and Retreat in Giddings, TX on March 25-27th.  Join your fellow MYA members coming from 9 different parishes from 4 different states in a weekend of spiritual and social community building.  Come listen to renowned guest speaker Joe Farris as he explores our theme: The Power of Prayer.  Take advantage of the opportunity to collaborate with your peers in group discussions.  Revitalize your spirituality during our workshops.  Enjoy the amenities of Tejas Camp and Retreat, which include zipline, climbing wall, crate stacking, swing, bazooka ball, and much more.  Meet the other young adults from all walks of life who make up our worldwide Maronite community.  The MYA South Regional Retreat awaits!

The all-inclusive registration fee is $160.

SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS:

The cabins are clustered in groups/villages. We will be staying in 4 camp-like cabins.  Each cabin has 2 rooms with 6 bunk beds each.  Each room has its own shared bathroom

Sheets, covers, and pillows will be provided.  There is ample parking available at Tejas Camp and Retreat. For those that are flying in, the local Austin MYA will coordinate with you for airport transportation.  Please contact Anthony Kuri at 210-625-2699 for coordination.

BATHROOMS:

Each room in each cabin has one large, shared restroom with private shower stalls and toilet stalls.  The accommodations are more of a community camp setting.  This is not a hotel.  Each registrant must bring showering sandals, all toiletries, and towels.

FOOD:

All meals will be provided from dinner on Friday to breakfast on Sunday.  For Friday night, we will offer vegetarian meals for Lent.

Guest consent forms are required upon entrance. No sign-ups are required for attending activities. You may participate in any activity for however long during the time period for activities.  You may do multiple activities, time permitting. More information will be provided during orientation.

WHAT TO BRING CHECKLIST:

4. Flip flops/sandals (to use for showering)
5. Sunscreen and hat
6. Warm clothing for the evening

8. Recreational games (frisbee, basketball, etc.)
